art alchemy exhibition 2026

artist statement:

I am a scorpio sun.

i have spent my life learning what that means. scorpio is the sign of death and rebirth, of transformation and the occult, of sacred knowledge hidden in the dark. it is the sign that does not fear the shadow because it knows the shadow is where the gold is buried. at its best, scorpio is the master alchemist.

scorpio sun is a piece inspired by my interpretation of this truth.

alchemist use their personal power along with metaphysical tools to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. four gold pillars hold this work, a deliberate nod to my life path number. the contrast between draped fabric and structural elements create a tension between the adorned and the raw.

the focal floral recipe is a mixture of fresh, hand-painted, and preserved varieties. rose preservation is sacred to my work. it’s where i explore and honor life cycles and the natural process of transformation. petals that have already passed through their own small death and rebirth. that is the scorpio truth i return to again and again: in every transition, in every ending, there is still beauty to be found.

amethyst: stone of spiritual clarity and divine protection, holds the energetic frequency of the piece. the obsidian scrying mirror grounds it in shadow work and truth telling, a portal that doesn’t always flatter but always reveals.

together they form the altar. black, purple, red, and gold hues symbolize the mystery, power, passion, and alchemy that anchor my personal identity through my astrological sun sign. in this moment,

i understand life to be place to blend my gift of aesthetics with my passion for legacy work – ultimately creating portals that transform and inspire. to stand before scorpio sun is to stand before the part of yourself that has survived everything and is still blooming.
